One evening match, start to finish

Here is everything Kinetic does for a Tuesday evening doubles match at 7pm. The steps with a yellow ball are yours. Kinetic does the rest.

  1. Sunday2 days before

    Pick a match at your level

    Each club has its own page with this week's matches, sorted by level. Tap a spot to take it, or vote yes in the club's WhatsApp poll: both count. New to Kinetic? Answer four questions about how you play and you're matched with players like you.

  2. Mondaythe day before

    Kinetic finds the fourth player

    If the match is short, the group hears about it once a day until it fills.

    Tue 3 Nov needs 1 more player (3 of 4 in). Vote in the poll or book on the club page.

    Still short the day before, the match is called off and everyone is told, so nobody turns up to an empty court. Eight players in? It becomes two courts of four.

  3. Mondayonce four are in

    The court gets booked

    Kinetic messages the club to book the court, a second one if there are eight of you.

  4. Tuesdayin the morning

    You hear which court

    As soon as the club confirms, the court goes to the group and to the phone of everyone playing.

    Court 3 this evening7pm tonight. See you on court.

    That morning you also get your match card by email: who's playing, the suggested teams and the forecast.

  5. 18:50when you arrive

    Check in

    Check in from the match page when you arrive, so everyone knows you're there.

  6. 19:00

    Play

    The teams are balanced by level and leaderboard points, or set your own. Want to watch it back, or let friends watch live? Put a phone on the fence with Kinetic Stream. Keep the score on your Apple Watch.

  7. 21:00

    Say how it went

    Your own link arrives by email and as a notification. Say which team won and the score, and give the others a thumbs up. Someone on the other team confirms, so the result is agreed.

    It goes on the leaderboard

    One point for playing, one more for a win. My Kinetic keeps every match you've played, who with, and the score.
